I come from a long line of real estate agents; I suppose you could say that I have real estate in my DNA. From a young age, I was taught that a real estate agent should not only act with integrity, but must also be committed, reliable and creative.
I have over 15 years' experience, and have worked for several real estate agencies in the area. I started my own agency in 2013. My enthusiastic team has since grown to six: three real estate agents, an assistant-real estate agent and two office staff. Our style is direct, informal and approachable.
I enjoy every single day out in the field: covering countless kilometers by bike as I visit all the boroughs of this stunning city - meeting people at their homes and welcoming new enthusiastic clients every day. Nothing compares to the energy buzz I get from satisfied, happy clients.
In my free time, I enjoy a good run, going out to dinner or drinks in the city and meeting up with my friends.
I have a long track record in Amsterdam's real estate market, a wonderful job that lets me make people super happy with the purchase or sale of their home. The best part is working with such a wide range of people. Sometimes it even feels a little strange to hardly speak to my clients after we've been on such a long and often intense journey, searching for the right home. Although I am approachable and informal, I never compromise when it comes to my work ethic: I am a professional and work hard to achieve my goals.
Francis and I have been working together for a few years now, and we truly complement each other. Our team is small and close-knit, we both believe that going the extra mile for our clients is crucial, which means that we are (almost) always available for our clients!
In addition to my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, tennis, running, the beach (in every season) and having fun with my friends. If at all possible, I try to go skiing every year and go for a city trip in Europe or elsewhere every now and then!
People and houses. And connecting the two. These two aspects made the choice for Realty an obvious one for me after earning my degree in Communication. It has proven an excellent decision. Even after 11 years of working in real estate in Amsterdam and Haarlem, I still consider it a privilege to help people purchase or sell their home.
As a real estate agent, I believe it is extremely important to listen. And subsequently take appropriate and effective action. I apply my expertise and experience to provide my honest advice and determine how and especially when to move forward. It is still thrilling to accomplish the final result with my clients and to see how my services have been beneficial to the overall process.
Living in Amsterdam is more popular than ever before. I lost my heart to this city 13 years ago, and I can truly say: Amsterdam is the best! Especially its diversity in cultures, magnificent museums, stunning parks, its on-trend stores and collection of old-fashioned pubs make this a unique place to call home. Every borough has its own distinct character, my personal favorites are Plantagebuurt and Amsterdam Oost. After earning my Bachelor in Marketing, obtaining my NVM Certificates was an excellent next step. Real estate is a wonderful and dynamic field. You meet a lot of different people every day, and every house has its own story to tell. Which is exactly why every purchase and sale is a customized process. It is still extraordinary to be able to advise people on what is the largest purchase of their lives, or to sell a home and see all the happy faces upon closing. In addition to my work as a real estate agent, I have a great passion for interior design and enjoy giving advice on layouts and home decor.
I have also loved Amsterdam, despite having grown up in Almere. From an early age, I have taken a keen interest in architecture and am often amazed at the impressive buildings and homes in the city.
After earning my degree in Construction Management & Real Estate, I took time off to travel extensively. From crossing the globe with just a backpack to volunteering in Africa. On the plane to Australia, it hit me: real estate was perfect for me! It combines my passion for real estate with sales. Helping people make one the largest purchase of their lives and contributing to that process is what makes this work so valuable to me.
What I enjoy most in my work is teaming up with my clients to find their dream home, or to help sellers take the next step by selling their home. A dynamic job, no two days are the same. My construction engineering knowledge, enthusiasm and down-to-earth nature allow me to provide appropriate advice regarding the purchase or sale of a home. I think it's important to always listen to my clients, and to work together as a team.
In the past, I worked as a rental/ sales and purchase real estate agent in Almere for a few years. In addition to my job, I also enjoy and get a boost out of city trips, reading thrillers and can regularly be found in a yoga studio.
I grew up in Hoogeveen (Drenthe province) and moved to Amsterdam when I was 22 years old. My first apartment was in Amsterdam-Oost borough, but moved to different spots in the city several times. I have been living in Amstelveen for quite a few years now with my husband and children.
I have been working in real estate since 2004, and was an office staff member with a number of agencies. From the onset, I have loved the interesting and dynamic nature of the sector, no two days are the same.
I work part-time and enjoy spending my time off with my family. I am also quite athletic and whenever I can, enjoy going to the gym or taking a run around the neghborhood.
I grew up in Naarden and now live in vibrant De Pijp borough. It's ideal that my house is less than a ten-minute walk from the office on Amsteldijk, a route that takes me along the Amstel River. In addition to working for Francis Helmig Makelaardij, I am also a Communication Sciences student at the University of Amsterdam. My father was responsible for infecting me with the real estate bug. Our idea of fun was surfing the Funda listings site on a rainy Sunday. It's great to be able to combine the world of realty with my university studies. I am interested in social media, marketing and healthy nutrition. I am also passionate about writing and will read anything I can get my hands on: from literary thrillers to serious novels. In my free time, I enjoy spending my evenings with friends, taking a run along the Amstel River or around Naarden-Vesting fortress and am on the hockey field every Sunday.
